Tee Off in Walkerton

Whether you’re looking for an 18-hole golf course, 9-hole course or practice range, Walkerton has you covered, and there are plenty of places to enjoy a meal or beverage after the game as well.

The Walkerton Golf and Curling Club on Bruce County Road 4 offers a fun and challenging 9-hole course amid forests and meadows, with a pond and creek on 50 acres. For those who appreciate a course that will challenge every club in their bag, Walkerton GCC includes steeply rolling terrain, wooded ravines and water to provide a well-rounded golfing experience. A variety of memberships are available, and in winter, passions turn to curling.

Whispering Hills Golf Club is the area’s only 18-hole championship golf course. It includes a pro shop, club house, target greens practice facility and a learning academy that offers junior golf camps in summer. In winter, you can take advantage of the club’s golf simulator to stay sharp.

Currently, both clubs have Covid-19 precautions in place, and golf is one activity you can enjoy alone, as a couple or as a foursome while staying safe.

Head into downtown Walkerton after the game to shop for a while, or dine at one of our many restaurants. It’s patio season all Fall at the 519 Table & Pour, Walker’s Landing, the Old Garage Pizza, and Old Joe’s Restaurant.
