Saugeen Municipal Airport
Walkerton, Ontario, Canada
Please note: Some business hours may vary due to COVID-19.

The Saugeen Municipal Airport is the aviation hub of the region, serving Brockton, Hanover and West Grey. Located just a few kilometres east of Walkerton, you can dine at the airport restaurant while watching planes land and take off on a sunny weekend. The Last Hangar Café is open daily during the spring and summer, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 30 pilots call this airport their home base, and dozens more stop by on a regular basis to touch down, fuel up, grab a bite or head into nearby Walkerton. Fuel can be purchased from the self-serve station 24/7, and the airport itself is accessible 365 days a year, offering two runways (north-south and east-west) with full instrument approach systems.

The airport serves as a base for flight training, sightseeing tours, air ambulance services, corporate jets and recreational pilots. Space can also be booked for special events, meetings and private functions. The airport hosts an annual “COPA for Kids” event in June and also hosted the spectacular Royal Canadian Airforce Snowbirds team for Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017. A video is available at

You can also learn to fly at the Saugeen Airport. Future Air runs a flight training facility there, where you can earn a recreational pilot’s permit or private pilot’s licence.

Keen to view Brockton from the sky? Future Air offers scenic flights for up to three passengers in its Cessna 172 aircraft. Book a 30- to 90-minute aerial tour for a truly unique perspective on the area.
